Range Installation

Free-Standing · Slide-In · Gas · Electric · Dual Fuel · Pro Range
Pro Note

Gas ranges connect to your home's existing gas line. We connect, leak-test, and verify operation. If you have LP/propane, conversion is NOT included by default — see below.

REQ · 01
Gas Shutoff Valve
Accessible gas shutoff valve within 4 ft of the range location. Valve must operate freely. ½" gas connector standard.
REQ · 02
120V Outlet
Standard grounded 120V outlet for the oven controls, clock, and igniters. Must be reachable from the back of the range.
REQ · 03
Cabinet Opening
Standard 30" wide opening (some pro ranges go up to 36" or 48"). Confirm width and depth match your unit specs.
REQ · 04
Anti-Tip Bracket
Required by code. Comes with the range — installer secures to floor or back wall during install.
!
LP / Propane Conversion is NOT included. If your home runs on propane instead of natural gas, the range needs to be converted with a manufacturer LP conversion kit. The kit is sold separately — we can provide the kit and perform the conversion as an add-on service. Confirm with your sales associate before install day so it's ready.

  • ✓Gas leak test on all connections
  • ✓Connect 120V power

Cooktop Installation

Gas · Electric · Induction · Downdraft
Pro Note

Home Depot's program covers a like-for-like swap of an existing gas cooktop. Cutout modifications may be needed even with same-size units. New gas line runs are outside scope.

REQ · 01
Existing Gas Supply
An accessible, working gas shutoff valve within 6 ft of the cooktop location. Valve must operate freely.
REQ · 02
Electrical Outlet
120V grounded outlet within reach for ignition. Required even on gas models.
REQ · 03
Cutout Dimensions
Confirm your countertop cutout matches the new unit's specs. Same brand ≠ same cutout. Provide measurements before install day.
NOTE · 04

✓Always Included

  • ✓Gas leak test after connection
  • ✓Set and secure cooktop in cutout

Wall Oven Installation

Single · Double · Combination Oven + Microwave
Pro Note

Standard scope covers replacing an existing wall oven of the same type. Match your existing cutout dimensions before ordering. Electrical add-ons can be quoted at measure.

REQ · 01
Cabinet Cutout
Cutout must match new unit width, height, and depth. Measure existing cutout — not the old appliance — and compare to new unit specs.
REQ · 02
240V Dedicated Circuit
30–50 amp dedicated breaker with junction box accessible behind or beneath the oven cavity. If not in place, our team can provide — identified during the measure appointment.
REQ · 03
Access Path
Clear path from entry to kitchen. Wall ovens are heavy — minimum 32" doorways and no stairs without prior notice.
NOTE · 04
Cabinet Strength
Cabinet must be structurally sound and fastened to wall studs. Weak or modified cabinets must be reinforced before install.
✓Always Included

Dishwasher Installation

Built-in undercounter · 24" standard opening
Pro Note

Standard scope is replacing an existing dishwasher. First-time dishwasher installs require new plumbing rough-in (water supply, drain line, and electrical) — this must be completed by a plumber before our installer arrives.

REQ · 01
Water Supply Line
Hot water supply valve under the sink, accessible and functioning. ⅜" compression fitting recommended.
REQ · 02
Drain Connection
Drain hose must connect to garbage disposal or sink drain via high-loop. California requires an air gap — if a hole needs to be drilled in the countertop for it, we can do this on any countertop material. Oregon does not require an air gap.
REQ · 03
Dedicated 120V Circuit
15–20 amp dedicated circuit with junction box located under the sink or in a nearby cabinet — not behind the dishwasher. Must be accessible before installation begins.
REQ · 04
Standard Opening
24" wide × 34" high opening standard. European dishwashers may vary. Measure before ordering.
NOTE · 05
Flooring Clearance
New flooring or tile raising the floor height may prevent dishwasher from fitting under countertop. Check clearance before install.
✓Always Included
  • ✓Disconnect and haul away old dishwasher
  • ✓Connect water supply and drain
  • ✓Connect to existing electrical circuit
  • ✓Level and secure dishwasher to cabinet
  • ✓Run test cycle and check for leaks
  • ✓Customer walkthrough
✗Outside Standard Scope
  • ✗First-time install (new plumbing/electrical)
  • ✗New water supply or drain line rough-in
  • ✗New electrical circuit
  • ✗Air gap replacement or new hole for air gap (hole drilling included — see Drain Connection note above)
  • ✗Flooring or cabinet modifications

Over-the-Range Microwave

Replaces OTR microwave or range hood over standard range
Pro Note

OTR microwaves require upper cabinets above the range and a 120V outlet inside the cabinet. If no upper cabinet exists or the outlet is missing, our installer cannot complete the install.

REQ · 01
Upper Cabinet
A full upper cabinet (not just trim) must be present directly above the range for mounting. Cabinet must be secured to wall studs.
REQ · 02
120V Outlet Inside Cabinet
A grounded 120V / 15–20A outlet inside or immediately above the upper cabinet. This is the most common reason installs cannot proceed.
REQ · 03
Vent Configuration
Decide between ducted (exterior vent through cabinet/wall) or recirculating (charcoal filter, no duct). Ducted requires existing ductwork.
REQ · 04
Width Match
OTR microwave should match the width of the range below (typically 30"). Confirm unit width before ordering.
!
No upper cabinet = no install. If no upper cabinet is present, the microwave cannot be safely mounted. A carpenter must install cabinetry before we can proceed.
✓Always Included
  • ✓Remove and haul away old OTR or hood
  • ✓Mount microwave to upper cabinet and wall
  • ✓Connect to existing 120V outlet
  • ✓Configure vent (ducted or recirculating)
  • ✓Function test all features
✗Outside Standard Scope
  • ✗New upper cabinet installation
  • ✗New electrical outlet inside cabinet
  • ✗New ductwork or exterior wall penetration
  • ✗First-time install over no prior unit
💨

Range Hood Installation

Wall-Mounted · Under-Cabinet · Island · Insert (Power Pack)
Pro Note

Wall-mounted hoods require existing ductwork to the exterior and a 120V outlet at the hood location. Duct runs through walls or ceilings are outside scope.

REQ · 01
Existing Exterior Duct
Ductwork must already be installed and routed to the exterior. Duct diameter must match the hood's exhaust port (typically 6" or 8" round).
REQ · 02
120V Outlet
Grounded outlet at or above the hood location, within reach of the power cord.
REQ · 03
Wall Studs
Hood must be anchored into wall studs. Drywall-only mounting is not acceptable for safety.
REQ · 04
Height Clearance
Minimum 24"–30" between cooktop surface and hood bottom. Confirm manufacturer's recommendation.
✓Always Included
  • ✓Remove old hood or OTR
  • ✓Mount hood to wall studs
  • ✓Connect to existing ductwork
  • ✓Connect to existing 120V outlet
  • ✓Function and airflow test
✗Outside Standard Scope
  • ✗New duct runs through walls or ceiling
  • ✗Exterior wall penetration
  • ✗New electrical outlet installation
  • ✗Drywall patching or painting

Built-In Refrigerator

Panel-Ready · Counter-Depth · Column Refrigerator / Freezer
!
Pre-install site measurement is required. Built-in refrigerators are precision-fit appliances. Our team must measure the opening, cabinetry, and utilities before the unit is delivered. Do not schedule delivery without a confirmed site visit.

REQ · 01
Precise Opening
Width, height, and depth must be exact. Built-in units have zero tolerance for mismatched openings. Framing adjustments may be needed.
REQ · 02
Dedicated 120V / 20A
Dedicated circuit with outlet inside the recess. Must not share with other appliances.
REQ · 03
Optional: Water Line
If the unit has an ice maker or water dispenser, a ¼" copper or braided line with shutoff valve is required within 6 ft.

Delivery Access
Built-in fridges are very large and heavy. Confirm all doorways, hallways, and entry paths are clear. Minimum 36" width required.

REQ · 02
120V / 20A Outlet
Grounded outlet inside the cabinet cavity or immediately adjacent. Must be accessible without removing cabinetry.

Built-In Microwave + Trim Kit

Countertop Microwave with Cabinet-Flush Trim Kit
Pro Note

A built-in microwave with trim kit is a countertop microwave installed inside a cabinet opening with a frame that makes it appear built-in. The trim kit must be purchased separately and be model-specific — universal kits do not work.

!
Trim kit must be on-site and unboxed before install day. We cannot proceed without it. Confirm compatibility with your microwave model number before ordering.
REQ · 01
Cabinet Opening
Opening must match the trim kit dimensions exactly. Measure width, height, and depth. Cabinet interior must allow ventilation clearance specified by manufacturer.
REQ · 02
120V / 20A Outlet Inside Cabinet
A dedicated outlet inside the cabinet cavity, recessed or positioned so the microwave door closes fully. Most common reason installs cannot be completed.
REQ · 03
Trim Kit On-Site
Model-specific trim kit must match the microwave exactly. Must be unboxed and present when the installer arrives. No substitutions accepted.
